Easy edits to your Squarespace website that can help your sales and ranking

It might seem daunting to keep up with all the functions and never-ending updates to all the necessary tech that come with being a small business owner, but your website shouldn’t be one of them.

5 easy edits you can make today to your Squarespace website to help boost your ranking and get more customers online and in person.

  1. View your site from your phone. Can you navigate the main links? If not take a moment to log in and edit your navigation. Are the images and copy relevant to the season and your current offers? Does it look inviting and speak to your ideal clients?

  2. Ensure your hours are up-to-date and easily accessible - consider displaying them on your homepage, footer, or contact page.

  3. What’s the best way for your customers to reach you? Let them know! Include your phone number, a contact form, or carrier pigeon info so that they can reach out.

  4. If you are active on social media, make sure your feed is refreshed and displaying the latest posts!

  5. Update your copyright in your footer. This one may seem small, but it shows attention to detail, and that you didn’t go out of business the last time it was updated a few years ago!

  6. Bonus: Check your connection to Google Search Console and refresh if necessary.

If you have a few more minutes, head to your Google My Business account and edit your basic info there, and post an update to let your customers and the algorithms know your business is alive and kicking!

If this made your head spin, reach out today to get started on a monthly plan where you can relax knowing your online presence is in good hands.
