pressures-of-small-business-how-to-automate

Another update! It’s now 2023 and we are still using most of the recommendations below.

Here’s what’s new for tech, automation, and platforms to make your small business run smoothly in 2023.

  1. Later- is an auto-posting, social media scheduling tool. Check out this post to learn more about why we love Later! Plus, you can create a free forever account - I know you’ll want more features though, so feel free to reach out, and I can walk you through the plans and what may work best for you! This is an affiliate link, and will get you two free weeks with Later.

  2. Canva - a must-have “tech” tool that makes designing fluid and consistent brand elements a cinch. I particularly love the Brand Kits that are available in the pro plan, it makes logos, brand colors, images, and more a breeze.

  3. HoneyBook - we love this service! From contact forms, proposals, workflows and invoicing, it basically runs the financial side of my small business (yep, that’s an affiliate link, and it will get you 25% off when you sign up!) There is a learning curve to Honeybook, so please reach out to us or their fantastic help feature if you need a hand!

  4. ConvertKit - The email marketing platform. Yes, I know, I’m a Squarespace fanatic, and their email system is just fine for the basics. When it comes to automation, forms, sales tracking, and so so much more, ConvertKit is the way to go. Trust me, I’ve tried them all! This affiliate link will get you a 14-day free trial. Again, learning curve - we’ve got you covered!

Stay tuned for an in-depth update on these top 4 tech tools, plus Asana, Tidio and more!

Update! Hey there, we just updated this post on Jan 15, 2020. We had been using Wave as an accounting system, but have now switched over to HoneyBook! It’s much more inclusive and the customer service just can’t be beat.

It’s worth noting that while it’s only been 5 months since we wrote this post, we still use all of the services listed below and are happy to recommend them to you!

Have a service you just can’t live without? We’d love to hear about it!

Let’s get right to it, when it comes to running your own business you always have a ton on your plate. Any chance entrepreneurs and small business owners have to automate, delegate, or eliminate should be fully taken advantage of. Since we know you’re busy we are keeping this short and sweet!

  4. Promo - after trying a ton of different video creation tools, this is the one we always come back to. It’s fairly intuitive, has great music, video clips and is reasonably priced for what the tool provides.
